Beertender Tubes - Ensure a Quality Pour Every Time
BeerTender tubes, also referred as beer tubes is a maintenance that is a must!
If you own, and use any one of the BeerTenders from Heineken, which for those of you that have not seen this slick home appliance it's every beer loves dream. It's a home beer tap system.
The beertender, is the heart and pulse for dispensing a great draught beer every time, but there is a small bit of maintenance that needs to be done to insure a quality tasting cold beverage.
It's a simple step, that if overlooked, will soon have you saying " hmmm, does this pour taste funny",
BeerTubes or beer tube replacement, is a quick simple task that should not be overlooked upon every keg change. A great rule of thumb while using the BeerTender from Heineken is, empty keg, means a new beertube replacement.
To replace a beer tube, is a snap. Just connect the the large rounded end, to the kegs top and the flow end is snapped into the dispensing spigot of the BeerTender.
These are very cheap, inexpensive and should always be on hand. Keeping a supply always on hand is a smart practice. It's an easy overlooked item, keeping a few packs on hand, you will always have a fresh pour.
Each Beertube is wrapped individually, then packed into a convent package. This packing gives you complete ease of mind that each beer tube is sterile, without damage and ready to use whenever you are.
Once, you have made a keg change and replaced the beer tube, here are 4 steps to enjoy the very best pour each and every time.
- Clean glass, rinsed in cold water. This step will chill the glass. ( do not chill glass in freezer)
- Angle glass at 45 degrees, pour beer with a smooth motioning, making sure foam is collected at the bottom of the glass at first, then follow through with the pour under the foam
- At 3/4 pour, straighten the glass, making sure the tap doesn't touch the beer
- Skim it!, with one smooth motion using your favorite beer skimmer.
Now, enjoy!

I love the BeerTender and it was great to be able to order a bunch of the tubes in advance since it is so hard to find them at stores. If you have bought the mini-kegs in the past and have enjoyed them, then you should think about getting the BeerTender and order some tubes in advance. It can be very sad having a nice, cold mini-keg in your BeerTender and no tubes for dispensing!
